An analytical procedure is the detailed, written, step-by-step set of instructions for carrying out an analysis on a specific kind of sample.
An analytical procedure spells out a method in concrete, repeatable detail: the reagents and amounts, the equipment, the exact sequence of operations, the conditions, and how to calculate and report the result. Where the method names the strategy, the procedure pins down every choice so that two different people can get the same answer.
It matters because reproducibility lives in the details. A method like 'titration' is too vague to repeat reliably; a written procedure removes the guesswork, which is why regulated labs follow validated, documented procedures rather than improvising.
