An Illustrated Timeline · A JOVANA Collection

From Baroqueto Bento UI. Four hundred years of humans answering the same question with shape, colour, and light: ‘What should the world look like, right now?’

This collection isn’t arranged the textbook way — it’s arranged on a timeline, from the gilded drama of 1600s churches all the way to the rounded-glass grids of a 2024 Apple keynote.

Every style is a reaction to the one before it: Bauhaus revolted against ornament, Swiss against the hand-drawn, Memphis against minimalism, Neo-Brutalism against polish. Understand that chain of revolts and you understand the DNA of visual design.

In the spirit of JOVANA, every chapter is drawn in that style’s own visual language — so the idea meets you where you are, and your eyes start to remember faster than words can.

§ 02 · How to Read Every page looks like itself.

Open any style and you’ll find its page sits on a different template. The Baroque page burns with gold, the Bauhaus page is reduced to three primary-coloured shapes, the Vaporwave page glows, the Neo-Brutalist page collides oversized type at crooked angles.

Each page tells its style’s story in that style’s own visual language. Read a round of them and your eyes start to remember — faster than words can.

This index stays neutral: serif type, paper-cream ground, indigo trim. It is a contents page, not the content.
